I am having two problems configuring e-mail settings for my site:

1) The registration for the site is Private. When a user registers, he gets Notification & Confirmation mails on his/her e-mail id from my e-mail id as an Administrator. This is not the desired behaviour. I want the mails to be sent from a support e-mail id that I have provided in Host Settings. How can I do that???

2) Secondly, in his Profile settings after Registration, the e-mail id option is not grayed. That means a user can change his/her mail id after registration. Again , that is not a desired behavious as I want the user's email-id to be freezed after registration!!!

I'm quite sure the email settings need to be setup under the Site Settings, not the Host settings.

Not sure on the email option... but I would have thought for most cases it is better to allow users to change email as they may change accounts, prefer another etc. There may be a way... I just don't know it.

Please help!!! I have only a single portal. All the auto-generated e-mails (like that when a user registers) from the portal are being sent from admin's i.e. my id. This is seriously undesirable. The user is registering or communicating with the portal, not having a private dialogue with me.

I really need to specify a support e-mail id some-where in the settings from which all auto-generated comunication takes place. F1!!! F1!!!

It may be the email for the administrator user in Site Settings... will have a look and see if I can find it but do try changing the administrator.
