How many .Net SqlClient connection(s) does DNN usually establish.  We are typically seeing three connections.  Any information is appreciated.

as usual the answer is "it depends". Each page request usually involves a number of database connection's , though we use the "open late, release early" philosopy, so normally the answer is 1 i.e. each time we close the connection it goes to the connection pool and when the next operation happens the same connection is reused. Obviously this is only the case if you're using sql authentication, if you're using windows authentication then each user will have seperate connections, as they have seperate credentials. - all of this is standard asp.net, we're not doing anything special

Daniel,

Please post a detailed error message that you are encountering.  What version are you attempting to install.  What steps you have taken.   The more background the better the assistance can be.   Since you are new -- check out www.DNNCreative.com and www.DNNHero.com for helpful videos.

I would also post your request for help as a fresh thread.

Paul.
