Hello!

I have the code for a DNN website on my local PC and on a webserver.  Currently the portal aliases are set as follows:

webserver/website_name      (this is non-editable)
locahost/website_name         (editable)

When I start the website in Visual Studio 2005 on my local PC, the website forwards to the alias 'webserver/website_name'.

How do I cause the site to run locally ('localhost/website_name') so I can use Visual Studio to debug a custom module I created?  Any help is appreciated!  Thanks.

John

Do you have IIS installed? Are you using a "website" project in VS2k5? Is it firing up IIS, or starting it's own web server? If it is firing up the VS webserver it will be doing so with a port, which will cause the portal alias not to match, and DNN will then redirect to the first Portal alias in the table for that portal.
