Some time ago the downward facing arrow on an instance of a module that contains options for modifying/changing disappeared. I was hoping an upgrade to the latest version (4.8.2) would magically bring it back, but no such luck. Any suggestions?

Make sure the skin used on that module has the [ACTIONS] tag in the html

jriggall,

The action menu is an element of the module's container. I would assume this change happened because the container changed. You could check to see if any of the other containers that are installed on your site support the action menu by changing the container for that module on the module settings page.

take care,

Ian

This may be so obvious that it sounds like a silly suggestion but I can't tell you how many times I've missed things because they were so obvious I never checked.  I forget what version this was added but you mentioned 4.8.2 did not fix your issue so I'm assuming you are running 4.8.2...

In the upper left of the control panel is a radio button group with three radio buttons.  If "View" is checked it displays the page as if you are an unauthenticated user (i.e. not logged in).  If "View" is in fact checked, click on "Edit" and you should get things back to normal.

Hope this helps

Chuck R.

P.S.  If you didn't guess, when the "View/Edit" feature was first introduced I had the same problem :-)
