I'm actually surprised this isn't built into the Core (not that I know of anyway) as it would add an enormous amount of flexibility for sites using roles.

What I am wanting is for a page to be displayed to all users, unless they are in a certain role.

eg. Registered Users can all see the page (no problem), but if they become say a premium member... the page is no longer relevant and not displayed to them.

Is this at all possible?

I can do it with the Text/HTML modules only.  Big thanks to Mitch Sellers for that with the Text/HTML Denial module!  I am surprised it just isn't like that with everything though, modules & pages.

Hope someone has a suggestion or solution (I very rarely seem to get those here )

Cheers

David

Hi David,

Shaun Walker actually blogged about exactly this topic a week or so ago.  You can read his comments here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=825&EntryID=1782

Your deny-permission dreams appear to be coming true sometime in the DNN 5.x timeframe.

Brandon

Mitch Sellers has a deniable HTML module at:

Might help a little.

Thanks Brandon... good to know although it appears I may have to wait & work on some creativity until then!

Cheers Jeff - I am aware of the module and did say I already use it.  Does what I would like to do with whole pages.
