Has anyone got DNN and smartermail working together? I cannot get notifications (news, users, etc, etc) sending out to their email addresses. Smartermail rejects the user im presuming.

Ive got smtp working on several other hosts flawlessly but smartermail is proving difficult to configure, even my hosting provider is having difficulty. Anyone using it successfully on a shared hosting plan? ty

I have a VDS at www.dotnetpark.com and SmarterMail inside. No problems with DotNetNuke and it s mail. You should check SmarterMail settings or ask your host to check it. If you specify your SMTP username and password it is working fine. If it is not working - you have specified wrong SMTP IP/name or password, or your SmarterMail is badly configured.

This is something I would also be most interested in doing.  What are the capabilities of doing this? Can it mean automated email accounts, or for users logged into a DNN site they can also be logged into the email?  Or just for the look of it with the SmarterMail site appearing within a DNN site?

Is there any documentation at all on how to run the two together?

Looking at this again... think I may have misunderstood and it is just an email issue rather than to do with integrating SmarterMail with DNN as I first understood.

Forums apparently have known issues anyway with notifications... though everything else such as new user emails works.  Forum Moderators get emails but about the only I've managed to get... didn't think it had anything to do with SmarterMail.
