Hi All,

In one of our portals, all off of a sudden, the admin users (all users in the Aministrator role group) can't do site-wide administration..  ie. Site Setting, pages, etc. The Admin menu doesn't even show for them.   If they click on 'site' on the control panel, they get access denied. (DNN 4.55 btw)

They can still add/delete modules, edit modules and module settings..

Host doesn't seem to be affected.   I've checked all permissions I can think of and they are all correct. The only thing I can figure out is, How does DNN determin that the role 'Administrators'  actually has admin access?  I mean, If I create a new role Admin2, how do I make that role equivilent to the portal admin role?

Thanks!

Matt

Good question, and I'm interested in the answer.  But can anyone answer the simpler question that I posed earlier in this thread:

How do I give Edit permission to a user for only ONE module on a page rather than ALL modules on the page?  As I mentioned before, adding the user to the permissions grid for the ONE module does nothing until I also add that user to the permissions grid for the page that contains the module.  But once I do that, the user then has edit permission for ALL modules on the page, even though the user doesn't even appear in the permissions grid for any of those other modules.

Anyone?

Thanks!

Jim
