I'm starting to get frustrated with the current stock Events module built into DNN. Every time I turn around we get errors on it that look something like this:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.SelectCategory.get_SelectedCategory() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventList.BindDataGrid() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventList.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Does anyone know or can recommend another events module that is as feature rich? Mostly I want to display events in a list but also a calendar every now and again.

jsheely,

We at Engage are currently working to release a beta version of our own Events module that may be just what you need. We will be releasing the beta within the next few weeks, along with a new section of our site designed to facilitate communication between our company and the community about our modules.

The purpose will be to share our product road maps and vision, while also providing a place for feedback and suggestions on module features. While our Events module will have great core functionality in beta, we already have a pretty impressive road map for which we'd like to start generating community feedback.

Stay tuned for more info!!

Take care,

Ian

A new version of Events module is being stress-test by the Events team members.  The up-coming release contains many bug fixes.  If you have issues with the Events module, suggest to post and get helps from the Events forum.
