Whenever i put HTML into the HTML module and update it,
then i try to edit it again, all my whitespace is gone which makes it really hard to change anything.

How do i stop it from removing all the whitespace?
I tried changing the host settings under performance. The use whitespace filter check box is not checked.

Under the compression settings, The whitespace filter box is what looks like a bunch of random symbols,
and i have no idea of how to change this.

Thanks in advance.

you cannot format HTML by using whitespaces, except you are enclosing the whole content by a < pre > tag.

 I'm not trying to format the HTML with whitespace. My tabs and line breaks do not get saved in the editor.

for example i would write something like this:

<table>
         <tr>
                  <td>
                            <b>test</b>
                  </td>
          </tr>
</table>

Then when i update the HTML module and come back to change it again it looks like this:

<table><tr><td><b>test</b></td></tr></table>

Everything is compressed to one line.

Did you modify the editor settings? I did not experience this behaviour yet. Anyhow, if you want to display source code, use the < pre > tag, if you want to retain source code formatting, you might check the editor support forum at www.fckeditor.net

I just realized that the compressed code was in the basic textbox. When i go to the rich text editor and click on source it formats it how i wanted it to.

I guess i answered my own question.

Thanks for the help anyways though

ps. i am amazed at the speed of your responses. Keep up the good work!
