Hi,

I started 2 days ago with DNN 4.8 and i'm very happy with the results, however, using the modules that are installed with DNN i didn't find a way to manage articles.
All i need is:

- A list of the 4 most recent articles on the home page (with a thumbnail). Users click on the "read more" (or title/thumbnail) to read the full article
- A page where the user can view "All articles" (description and thumbnail) with the same "read more" function

With caveats, the core blog can be used for the purpose. However, you really need to spend time (and often money) on third party modules to get the most out of DNN. Plan on spending some time looking at module descriptions on Snowcovered... go through to developer forums, look at demos, trials, read bug reports and so on.

There are lots of options for article management. although none of them are perfect. Ventrian, DNNMasters, ZLDNN, Engage and a  bunch of others do them. Ventrian's subscripton is the best value as it also contains several other excellent modules.

Although you may or may not want to hear this, I have successfully done this using the Announcements Module in conjunction with the News Module (on the homepage).
