Hi
I am looking for any suggestions as to how I can configure the following scenario.I am building a property portal which will allow private users to upload and sell their properties for free but will charge agents/realtors a monthly or yearly fee.  The difference between these users will be that private users will only be able to upload 2 properties at a time whereas agents will be able to upload as many as they wish. All that has been sorted out but I am a little stuck on how I can register users as agents or private users.  I could for instance customise the profile to include a "are you an agent" or "are you a private seller", checkbox and apply this to the registration process.  However, I feel that this is a little clunky and I am not sure how I can add a different role to each different user.  And of course make the agent pay in the process.

The second idea I had was to use Ventrian Systems subscription tools to make the agent or user choose what level of membership they want and then make them pay via subscription tools.  The problem with this is that the private seller doesn’t have to pay so how can I include a role for them. So with all that said the only way I can think of doing this is to have two different registration pages.  One for agents and the other for private sellers. The agent registration page could then use the subscription tools and the private sellers registration page just let them have access.

Right can this be done, I mean have two registration pages (someone has told me that Ucanuse login module would work for this), or does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions on how I can get this working.

Has anyone done this before
Thanks in advance

The two registration pages is where I would go.... Remove the REGISTRATION skin object from your public web pages, then just add custom links to each registration page. You can set your private seller security role to be AUTO so that all registrants are automatically in this role, then use the subscription tools to allow agents to subscribe to the other role.

Not sure how your site is set up, but you may be able to just get away with 1 registration page, where new users are automatically put in the Private role, then given access to the membership services and purchase role membership to agent status.
