I'm getting the message: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.  Do you want to display the nonsecure items? when accessing pages that I've enabled SSL on.  I'm running DNN 4.8.2.  This message appears on ANY page that SSL is enabled on..  I'm thinking that maybe the flash banner has something to do with it...  These pages on include either the registration page or the login page...  Even my checkout page that only contains my checkout module gets the message..  The common variable is my skin in general or the flash banner...

Any suggestions?

You are on the right track ... somewhere in your HTML you are "calling" a non-https resource such as a stylesheet, image or Flash banner.

If I where to get the skin designed to modify the flash banner to use https:// wouldn't I always be on a SSL layer?  I guess I need to ask the skin designer.

Chris

Do you run Google Analytics?  A lot of people hook up the GA code to their site and forget about the fact that it is calling a non-secure external resource.  You can call a https version of the GA script to prevent these errors.

Make a HTTPS "version" of your skin that calls the flash banner via https. Just use it on your https enabled pages and that should help remove the flash banner problem. That way you aren't trying to make a https call on pages that don't need https.
