System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.  When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

I am having trouble, I put a project on my ftp site and I have a remote connection in visual web developer to the ftp site.

The problem is that the error up above that has been pasted, is giving me trouble it's telling me that the SQL server may not allow remote connections, how to do I setup SQL server in dot net nuke to allow remote connections.

before transferring DNN onto the web server, validate how the database can be accessed from the server (usually either installed on same server or - much better in performance and security - on a dedicated SQL server at the hosting site. The appropriate login account needs to be specified in web.config, usually not to be overwritten once configured on the web server. If you still encounter problems, please provide information about the concrete constellation. Thank you.

where in the web.config which element tag controls the SQl Service I thought the the providers file on the project handled that. Is there a tag that needs to set or does the providers file need to be set differently.
