Hi -

I have a login module on the homepage of my site.  What I would really like is to do is show a logout button, account information, etc. in the login module once a user is logged in instead of simply displaying a blank module.  I have played with the preferences and set it to show only when authenticated or so always, but I need to take it a step further and use the space to show account information once a user is logged in.

I believe this is going to take a combination of permissions, tokens, and possibly modifying the code to do this.

If anyone has successfully completed this in the past and can help out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

I am not sure if this will achieve all that you want, but you can set the permissions on the login module to "Unauthenticated" users only (remove all users or registered users permissions).  After login, it will be hidden from the user (you will still see it as admin of course).

You can then add the User Account module to the page, and set this with the permission of Registered Users or other roles, and make sure you do not have the "All user" permission set on it.

I would use a text/html module with tokens enabled. Just set it to only display to registered users. Use profile tokens to display whatever profile infor you need. There's a list of tokens somewhere here on the site.

Robax -

Thanks for the suggestion.  I think that will work perfectly.  I appreciate both answers, as I think both fit exactly what I am trying to accomplish.

Thanks again for your help and suggestions.
