Hi,
when I try to place the AccountModule on its own page, thos page cannot be loaded. Firefox gives me an error message indicatng, that the site redirects the call, so that it never can be fullfilled. In the Event log however I read, that the module has been successfully placed on the page, and when I open the module either via the skinobject or the user admin panel, it shows up correctly.
Any ideas to solve this? Else I have to set up the site anew, and I have already invested a lot in it's configuration :-((

How are you trying to access the page in which you placed the User Account module? Did you create the link, or is it a standard DNN page link?

Hi Chris,
I created a standard DNN page and placed the module on it.
I'm using house Menu2 Beta Navigation Provider, maybe this is causing some trouble.
However, It works fine on a new portal I created, and when I removed it from the old portal no betterment took place.
What did you think of? Is there a Link I could use which points to the default account-module page?

Hi Chris,
it's getting clearer: The Navigation Provider creates an invalid URL. I.e. it drops the UserID when calling the Page with the account module.
I cloned the portal with everything alike but the navigation provider. For the new Portal I used the standard SOLPART Menu.
When I create a page and set the DNN Account Module the link it produces reads
http://test.MyPortal.de/tabid/89/UserID/2/Default.aspx
Now comes the odd thing:
On the old portal, after i uninstalled the houseMenu2 Provider, this same Menu creates a link which reads:
http://www.MyPortal.de/MeinKonto/MeinProfil/tabid/116/Default.aspx
Friendly URL Settings are the same on both portals. Both portals are DNN 4.8.3.
Any ideas?

I have a similar problem. I have a primary dnn site portal 1. Recently I added another site to the primary - second portal. The primary site has login, register and updating the profile working fine. The updating profile link does not work on portal 2. The IE simply shows a progress message and stand there for minutes. The firefox says the redirection did not work.

I tried creating a new page with a new "user account" module on portal 2. Adding the "user account" module to the page simply hangs for minutes.

I think there is some problem with the "user account" module on the second portal. Also note that the REGISTER link on the second portal works without any problem. It is the update page that does not work.

The whole problem is not on the first portal.
