Hi everybody,

I am becoming crazy because I want to programm a  very simple module but I don't know how. I have one dropdownlist with names of painters and one button to Accept. I want to see the result in a table. I know how to do this, but I don't know how to insert it in my module. Do I need to make the edit.ascx and settings.ascx files?Because I don't need to configure it, I just want my dropdownlist, my button and the results.

Thanks...

You don´t need the edit.ascx and settings.ascx. I assume you are using the module template for Visual studio which creates the needed files for you. In that case delete the files you don´t need and in your view.ascx(Or however you named it) Just create your control like you would any usercontrol. Just create a postback for the button and get the data from the database and databind it to a grid or repeater to show the results.

Then in your Dotnetnuke website create a new module and select your ascx file. Then place the module on a page in your site and your done. Ofcourse I am taking a shortcut here but that´s because there are excellent tutorials on how to do this in the forums here.
