Hello all,

I have recently installed DNN. I have it installed on a Windows XP Pro machine and am using SQL 2005 Express. I have the main bones of the site setup and can access the site using "computer name"/dotnetnuke

My Domain name resolution is setup and is working correctly from an IP resolution perspective. (I have setup an ftp server and can access it from the internet at ftp.domainname.net . I can also ping domainname.net from outside of my Lan and it resolves properly. I am using No-IP.com software to resolve to my dynamic ip. I don't think I have any probs there.

I have setup an http alias in DNN for my "domain.net" but am not having any luck. This is where I also setup the alias for my "computername"\dotnetnuke" and it allowed me to access the site from other computers on my home Lan.

I have all port 80 traffic set to forward to my web server from my internet gateway appliance.

In IIS, I have DNN setup as a virtual directory under "default website" and have the dnn files setup under c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke.

I can't seem to get the site accessible from the public internet. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help,

Shannon

Shannon, you will need an alias for domainname.net/dotnetnuke in order for DNN to return the site to the outside world.
