I would like to disable the link that will allow user to edit their Account Profile.  Is this possible? I just want to display their user name but it should not be clickable.  This way, users will not be able to edit their user credentials, password, profile, and services.

Thanks.

Have tried to do this with 4.8.4 version but there is no possibility. So you have 3 ways:

1) Change it at the skin level, so USERNAME will be text only (blocked for edit).

2) Change core module to show Profile (it is not good, because can be overwritten with next Upgrade).

3) You can develop own module with features you need.

Sergey,

Thanks for the reply.  This is what I ended up doing:

1.  I made a backup of my original horizontal menu - full width.ascx file as this is my current skin;

2.  Deleted the below lines of code related to USER.

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="USER" Src="~/Admin/Skins/User.ascx" %>
<dnn:USER runat="server" id="dnnUSER" />

I would like to try your suggestion #1 but I am not so sure where to go and what line of code to change.  Right now, after USER logs in from my site they don't see their username at all but rather just the "Logout" link.

Thanks.
