Hello,
I’m new to DNN, I’m reading a book but I can’t find answer for the following:

This is the scenario; I want to provide a portal for several of my customers (one to each) where they can have their own forum, etc.

I don’t want all of them to have access to the same modules, for example I want customer A to have access to the blog module, but customer B don’t.
Should I configure the modules as Premium and add them on a per-portal basis?

I want to display banners on left panel, and I don’t want my customers to be able to remove the banner module, nor to add modules to that specific panel.
How do I accomplish this?

Thanks all,
Mike P

The solution is to set the portals up yourself for the customers and then only provide them with module-edit permissions where required. There is no need for customers to keep adding blogs and forums to pages.. once you've done it for them, just lock the pages down. This means not giving out admin or full page-edit rights. Then you can do whatever you want to the rest of the page.

Be aware that not all DNN modules are fully content-managable with only module edit rights, but just check the ones you want ot use in advance.

Rob
