ok..After searching and looking through controls, I resolved it myself.

I am posting the snippet here if in case anyone stumbles like me

ListController le = new ListController();
ListEntryInfoCollection lic = le.GetListEntryInfoCollection("JobType");

foreach (ListEntryInfo lif in lic)
{
    int ii = lic.Count;
