Created a 4.8.4 installation at a remote server.

Tried to create a vendor > success

Then tried to add a banner to that vendor > failed

Because, it just displays following page with (Default.aspx page GIF Image, 1x1 pixels, on browser title field)

http://ip_address/virtual_directory_name/Admin/Vendors/tabid/43/ctl/Banner/mid/359/BannerId/-1/VendorId/4/Default.aspx

Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Did you get an error when it failed?  What did it say?  Did you have any more helpful error inf0rmation in the Event Log?

No i just did get an empty page and there was no record related to this problem in Event Viewer :(,

Should i upload, 4.8.4 package over to website, without web.config? Sometimes i saw that fixed easy problems with ascx files. But not sure it works this time too.

I don't think that overwriting the existing files will help you unless you have modified the original files.  I haven't uploaded vendors or banners in that particular version, so I cannot attest to any possible bugs in that specific process.  Are you able to duplicate this over and over?  What about with different types of banners?  Do you have an existing banner record appended in the database?

Since i have multiple dnn instances, i don't remember what i have done at that server. We also share this development server with other developers, maybe they were the ones who made modification, this is why i am asking for overwrite.

Btw - i am unable to reproduce this issue at my local computers.

However i have made some modifications to BannerController.vb to make rotation works, does it require source to be rebuild? If so, maybe it was the origin of problem.

Please don't get me wrong, i am not a developer yet, but trying to learn things by asking questions and applying suggestions.

Regards.
