Before updating my website to DNN, I had a boat load of aspx pages (with code behind files).  Everything worked fine.  After updating my site to DNN (latest version two weeks ago), I am missing some of my customized pages.  So I would like to configure them back in.  I read it was very simple, just create a virtual directory and a few more tweaks and you're gold!  I've tried that, and things sort of work, everything except for accessing the pages with .cs code behind files.  Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how to get them working please?  Thanks.

test aspx: http://www.pchenry.com/ppp/ppp/test.aspx

But when I goto a page with code behind, everything chokes: http://www.pchenry.com/ppp/ppp/Default.aspx

Any ideas please?

PS  I have deleted the web.config entirely in the virtual directory, therefore DNN's own web.config is the only one being used.

based on the error when going to the folder with the default.aspx page anonymous access is not enabled inside of IIS.

I have tried playing around with the codeSubDirectories in the web.config file (suggested by another DNN expert).  But that did two things.  One, forced me to put everything underneath the App_Code directory which I wasn't aware I had to do, and two, forced me to declare all my asp web controls.  What is going on here?

Am I trying to do something that cannot be done?  All I want to is run a very simple aspx page that has a code behind file.  Why is this so difficult?  Sorry, I've been working all day and just assumed a clicks and this would be magically working (yup, I bought into the DNN marketing).  It's not that simple.

Any help would be very much appreciated.  I still haven't even started on the media stuff which was the original reason I started down the DNN path. :<

YAHOO!  I was able to figure it out!  It had to do with the IIS virtual directory as  well as adding an alias to the site.  But I'm not quite sure how the Alias plays into this, can anyone else comment please?

Thanks.
