I get the following message when trying to retrieve a forgotten password on my DotNetNuke Website:

"You can request your password by providing your User Name and the password will be sent to the email address you provided during registration. If this portal supports it, you can optionally request your password by providing this email address. In this case you do not need to provide the username. You may also be asked to provide the answer to the question you provided on registration."

Does anyone know how to configure the request a forgotten password option by providing a user name, email address or both?

In your web.config file you need to set the requiresuniqueemail property to "True". Then the ability to request a password reminder with only the email address will work.

Is there a way to retrieve a forgotten password by entering in a username OR password?

That way if they don't know their username they can enter in their email address OR if they don't know their email address they used they can enter in their username.
