Greetings,
Here is yet another email/SMTP issue. In a nutshell:

1.  I have set up my SMTP settings (Host -> Host Settings -> Advanced Settings -> SMTP). Used smtp.gmail.com, Basic Authentication, Enabled SSL, entered username and password info, hit test and it works. I even was able to retrieve the test email from outlook.

2. The Admin and Host accounts both have valid email addresses.

3. The host email account is set correctly (host -> host settings -> Host details)

4. In my web.config file I've specified "requireuniqueemail" to true.

For some reason I can't recieve notification emails nor can I receive password reset emails. (I have tried from non-admin/super user accounts.) When I try the password reset it gives me the error: Password could not be sent at this moment. Please try again later or contact the site administrator. I have a few forms I use and neither of them are receiving emails either

The only thing I could think of is if there is a way to change the port in DNN (v.4.07 btw) from 25 to 465. Short of that I'm out if ideas. If anyone can think of anything that might work with gmail I'd be very grateful! Thanks for looking.

smtp.gmail.com:465

You must also have a paid account to use Gmail this way, not the freebie account.

Jeff
