The URL will go back to the Default URL when doing postback. Before postback

http://www.sample.com/News/tabid/60/Default.aspx

After postback

http://www.sample.com/Default.aspx?tabid=60

Desired URL after postback

http://www.sample.com/News/tabid/50/Default.aspx

How can I retain the Friendly URL and the updated query string?

Thanks!

I have view sourced the rendered page of DNN and there is one form tag:

<form name="form" method="post" action="/Default.aspx?TabId=60" id="form" enctype="multipart/form-data" style="height: 100%;" autocomplete="off">

the action is set to the "Default URL" and not the "friendly URL", how can I change the URL in the action attribute?

Hope to receive some suggestions regarding this one.

Thanks in advance!

Don't know if you found your answer, but I've been struggling with this for a while myself.  This is what I found out -

In 4.8.4, they modified ActionLessform.vb as part of security fix.  This changed the url that was added as the form action from the nice, friendly url we know and love to the actual behind the scenes url with the tabid=60 and so on in the querystring.

The fix for this is supposedly in 4.9.0, but if like me you can't wait for that to come out, you can just rollback that file to a pre 4.8.4 version.  Here is a forum discussion I found detailing everything a bit more:

The discussion of the fix is in Gemini - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7925&PROJID=2
