One of my child portal sites will not let the site administrator view or upload files. Why? I check file manager and it says as always that the administator role has read an write access (they are greyed out since they should not be changeable). So what happened and how to I fix it?

I get this when I select Link Type - File ( A File On Your Site ) rom any module that has it:

"You don't have permission to see the files on the site"

Logging as host lets me do what I want, but I shouldn't have to do this.

Thanks

did you perform a full recursive file sync (to right corner in admin :: File Manager)?

Yep. Did it several times as both Site Admin and Host

Any other ideas?

Very strange. Did you check the path for portal folder, displayed in Site Settings?

By "path for portal folder" do you mean the Home Direcory under Page Management in Advanced Settings of Site Settings? If so, yes. It says "Portals/9".

Or did you mean somethings else.

FYI on the Site Settings page under appearance it show this.

  Appearance

You don't have permission to see the files on the site
