I set up my site last week. I came back to it today and I can't login at all. When I click the 'login' link the page just refreshes and nothing happens!! It does this in both IE7 and Firefox 3. Its like the javascript is not runnung properly or something...any ideas..this is very disconcerting.

More info....

The problem does appear to be with the DNN itself. I have tried to login in four different browsers on two different computers, but the login page just does not appear.

Last week all I did was add in and update the standard components/modules, hide the 'register' link, created a new page and moved the content on the home page around a bit as well as playing with displaying some of the components. I would be surpised if anything that I did could stop the login page from displaying (would that even be possible?).

The site is here: http://www.bordergp.org.au/dnn/

I really need some help/guidance here. :-)  Thks

Under site settings did you point to a login page which is set to Admin only view or has been deleted?

Try this link to get to the login box http://www.mydomain.com/default.aspx?ctl=login

Hi

I tried that link and it just gave me the home page again. I don't recall restricting the login page to admin only. :-(

Surely its a logical contradiction that an administrator could somehow (inadvertently) exclude themselves from logging in to the admin section using the very same admin section? It certainly would never have occurred to me that that possibility even existed!

I have no idea why the login page won't display, but assuming that I can not login at all using the web interface, could the web host (who set DNN up for me) have the ability to diagnose and fix the problem, or would the whole installation have to be scrapped and reinstalled?

Is so, whats to stop what has happened from happening again?
