As a quick fix to patch this security issue, can I just remove the ErrorPage.aspx file from my Portal?

An upgrade is not a simple option as our DNN portal is so large (300+ child portals) and we get timeout & application errors during an upgrade.

Blue & White hooped blood runs through my veins!

As previously suggested please send any security concerns to security@dotnetnuke.com so we can validate your findings.

Please note, the errorpage.aspx did have a cross-site scripting issue in older versions of DotNetNuke, I suspect this is what you're seeing.

You can delete errorpage.aspx – this does mean that you may not see some errors as it’s the last thing that happens after an error event has bubbled up  - this is not normally a huge problem, but during installs/upgrades it is where we show errors (as there is no guarantee of a valid, working, eventlog)

Thanks,
Cathal
