You'll have to null out this value set in the database.

DotNetNuke > Tables > Portals > LogInTabID

Find the site, and null the this LogInTabID value.  It will be set back to 'None Specified'.

This should be the fool proof way, since it's so geeky.

I've done the exact same thing and have tried your meathod for the fix with the home page name and tagid but it's still not logging in? Is there any other way of doing this, cause I can't edit my site anymore! Thanks.
