I just had Dotnetnuke4 installed in my WindowsXP. After I login as admin, and choose site settings under the admin menu >>Advanced Settings >>Page Management>>Login Page. I chose 'Search page' then log out of admin. I have been trying to log back in, but when I clicked on 'log in', I didn't see the login page.

You've really gotten yourself in a pickle, especially if you don't have any Log In modules added to a page on your site.  That option is there so you can re-route users to a custom page where they can log in - and the search page isn't a good choice.

Hope you have your browser history enabled!

You'll have to find the TabID of the Login page for your site.  Open up your history and look for the site name with the following type of URL format;

http://www.sitename.com/Home/tabid/###/ctl/Login/Default.aspx you can either click on it or copy it, and it should bring you to your Log In page.  Log in as admin and immediately set your Login Page back to 'None Specified', unless you add a log in module to another page.

Hi

I have one more question, how do you make the link go to that the login page now? Currently when you click on the log-in link at the top right, it just reloads the home page.

thank you.

Go into Site Settings, maximize the Advanced Settings section, maximize the Page Management section and find the 'Login Page' field.  For that upper right hand corner 'login' link to go to the original page with just a Log In module, this field will have to be set to None Specified.  If you want to select another page for your Log In page, just be sure this selected page has a log in module on it.
