dnn_Search Table Explanation.

Can someone please tell me what the dnn_SearchItemWord, dnn_SearchItemWord and dnn_SearchWord tables are for?

These tables are growing out of control.  Between all of them I probably have 1.5 million records.  Is this how they are supposed to work?

Just trying to figure out if this is going to be a problem at some point.

Thanx!

those tabkes hold the search index for internal search and are needed, when performing a site search. if they are growing, even if you don't add content, there might be a module misconfigured. I suggest to clear the search index and reindex your site to fix this for the moment.
