site is not loading at all. Have you checked the Server Event log ?

My host is webhost4life,the site is dowm it's more than 24 hours,they did not help me to solve the issue.Their response is to download the site on my local machine and troubleshoot myself.They just put it on me.It's been more than 8 hours I don't hear from them despite my desperate calls for help.

This problem is not new, since 08/29 the site is up and down.It loads for some hours and down the next hour.And webhost4life support staff use to recycle the application pool to put the site back.But lately it just stop loading,it's more than 24 hours now.

I upgraded a few hours ago the site to 4.08.04 thinking that this could solve it,no luck.I am still getting a blank page.Now I am considering a restore from backup,but before to do that I want to try what you said.I need to know how can we trigger an application restart.
