I have a website set up on my internal network at IP address 10.10.80.216 and I have and ISA 2004 Server as my firewall. I created a Firewall policy that redirects requests for www.acivds.com to the internal web servr on 10.10.80.216. From the outsite, I can get to the home page OK but when I click on any links to other pages of the site the URL in the external browser shows http://10.10.80.216/.. and the page can't be displayed because if the non-routable IP.

From inside the network, I get the same thing but of course the pages will display because the IP is routable within the internal network.

I can't seem to find a setting in DNN that allows me to fix this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

David

It seems that if you use an IP for your portal alias, it creates a problem. First off, you can not edit it in the Portal Alias area of the portal settings. To get arond it I had to create a new portal with a domain name rather than an IP as the alias. I couldn't just chage the alias in DNN once it had a IP address.

This was an issue because our website is behind an ISA2004 firewall and we typically redirect a request for a www to an internal IP of a web server.

Actually, IP addresses should work fine.  But you cannot edit the portal alias you are currently connected on... You should be able to make this work just fine simply by having both the IP address AND the domain as portal alias entries.
