Is there a way to redirect to another page if a role error occurs for a page instead of showing the ugly "you do not have permissions" error?  We need to be able to redirect to another page that has instructions as to why the page was not allowed to be accessed and we're currently handling it internally in our modules.

This isn't a solution, but just a thought.

Most error messages are customizable through the Languages link under the Admin menu group.  I wonder if you put some SQL for a redirect instead of the error if that would do the trick?  Not sure it would work but might be a place to start.
