I want to set up a page such that when a customer logs in they get a page with current messages, pictures, etc. that is pertinent to the logged in user only. The messages and content would be entered / uploaded by the administrator and the user, in turn, would be able to respond via messages / uploaded content to the administrator.  Users would only see there messages and content and not other users content.  Is there anything currently available (besides a myspace type module! I'm not interested in the users interests or feelings!) or an easy way to create such a page?

Thanks in advance.

you can easily create use-specific pages and grant permission per user, but IMHO this becomes a mess, if you have more than a few users to handle. I suggest to use modules, which display user-specific content, e.g. UserDefinedTable can be configured to display user specific entries and allow users to edit only their own items.
