I'm delegating parts of a web site to a knowledgeable user.  I've created a role for that user, and a sub folder she can upload files to.  Setting up security to allow her role write access to her sub folder was a snap.

My problem is that I cannot see how to allow her to delete files she no longer needs.  I thought that, however clumsy, I could do it with FileManager.  FileManager is only available on the Admin menu and she is not in an admin role.

I've run out of ideas now.  Any suggestions?

Best wishes,

Hi Richard,

How does she upload? What module does she use for this?

Accepted Answer

URLControl, used to select images and optionally grant upload, does currently not contain functions for deleting files. You need to use FileManager (Admin) or a 3rd party tool.

@Sebastien

Thanks very much - I was suspecting that was the answer

@Peter

ATM she is only using the Text/HTML module.  The insert image facility will allow navigation of folders, and will allow upload of a new image, if the user has write access to a folder.  I'm guessing it uses the URLControl referred to by Sebastien.
