IS there a tutorial or explanation on how to have multiple menus on one site.

I want 2 menus on one page and when I create a new page I want to be able to select which mene it appears on.

How do I do that ?

You create your own menu provieder if that's what you want.  You can have two menus just fine.  They can start at the same place or at different levels in the page hierachy.  But you can't put pages on menus as you choose.  If that's what you need, use the Links module.

Sorry. I'm lost. If you can make 2 menus but you can't assign pages to them, then what is the point of 2 menus.

Lets say I have a menu at the top and one on the left. How do I tell the top one what links I want on it and the left one what links I want on that.

Seams like this should be a very common thing.
