Hello friends,

I have a dnn forum and my friend has a website( on a different domain). we are both trying to integrate both dnn forum and also the website. So we would like to have a single sign on which can be used for both the dnn forum and also the website.

How can i acheive this....

If a user is logged into the website i can ask my friend to send a querystring with his username and password(both encrypted) to dnn forum. Here i should be able to decrypt the username and pwd and check if the username exists or not. If it exist i should have him "auto logged in". If it doesnt exist it should create the useid and pwd and also should log him in?

I know you guyz over here are brilliant.so pls tell me where should i change the code.

thanks in advance,

shree

 Hey,

Thank you for the reply. But the problem is i dont want to include another user id and pwd text boxes even on dnn. Can you pls tell me from where we can get the username and pwd of the logged in member? so that i can send directly those parameters insted of taking them from new text boxes.

thanks in advance,

shree

userID is contained in userinfo object, password as well, but not populated by default. Please be strongly advised NOT to pass password in query strings due to security risk!
