Hello everyone,

I have configured a DNN site with the option to register and access a private part of the website. Because this is an upgrade from an existing non-DNN site I already have a number of members of my site. So I pre-registered the existing members without them getting an email for confirmation. Now I'm about to go live and I want to authorise al the members. Before doing that I tested with my own account, and when I did the confirmation of authorisation e-mail didn't contain my password, although it should (I checked, it's configured but I get someting like this; password:           ). What am I doing wrong? I'd like to send the pasword to all the existing members so that they know how to login.

Kind regards,

Marijn Ophelders

If you have used the same user name for these people you could try this

Go to the roles and open the required rols, from there select manage users in this role and add the people you wish to be in that role with this method ( this should not fire an email / test with yours )

Then once done open up newsletter and create a news letter for that role, in the type welcome to our new bells and whistles site, to log in please follow this link ( a link to your pass reminder in page ) then tell them to type in their user name and press request pass word reminder.

this would then fire the password to them, where they could then log in and re set the pass to what they wanted.

Thank you for the quick response. I'll try the workaround suggested and will suggest this working for a new DNN version.

Kind regards,
