I've been looking into setting up DNN with a shared SSL certificate and have found no definitive instructions for doing so.

It seems that Joe Brinkman (from the Active Directory module team) blogged specifically on this topic in a post on 7-26-2007 but that post is no longer available:  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1501/Default.aspx

Where did the posting go?  Joe's DNN blog history currently goes back to 4-26-2007.

not sure where it's gone, but http://www.datasprings.com/Resources/ArticlesInformation/DotNetNukewSSL/tabid/827/language/en-US/Default.aspx does a good job of detailing it.

Joe is "the accidental geek". Is this what you meant? By coincidence I was on this page earlier today and just read your post ...

Cathal-
Thanks - besides info in the DNN forums I'd already found and read the DataSprings page (a good overview) as well as John Mitchell's similar posting on Snapsis.com: http://www.snapsis.com/DotNetNuke/Support/tabid/560/forumid/16/postid/6400/view/topic/Default.aspx

Despite having the basic info I think I need I can't seem to hit upon the right combination of settings between DNN and the hosting provider's shared SSL certificate (ResellerChoice is the hosting provider in this case).  I was hoping to run across an explicit example of configuring DNN to use a host's shared certificate.

Peter-
Cool - thanks for the "Accidental Geek" link.  I'd read some "Accidental Geek" postings in the past but I didn't connect Joe's name with the site's name until you pointed it out.  Good to know.
