when i create a portal as a child, after intering in all the information the site works but when i create portals as a parent the site does not work at all...

here is what i am doing. I create the site as a parent then i go to iis and tell it create a website and ponit it to the folder that was created by DNN. but when i navigate to the page via a browser i get :

 

Directory Listing Denied

This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

 

any ideas?

you need to make sure that the .net framework is installed and that default.aspx is set as index page in IIS

both were checked and are true... the .net framework is installed but when creating the portal there is no default.aspxpage in the directory. but again it works if as a child but not as a parent... how is it that its creating the file stucture and NOT giving me a deafult.aspx page

i am not getting a default.aspx file in the file structucture after i create the portal... no matter if i create a child are a parent. I am not getting the deafult.aspx page
