Any idea why SolPart 3.1.1 menu items that show up in IE and Firefox do not show up in Google Chrome?

You will probably have to ask google that question :).
Please note solpart has been superseeded by the DNNNav web controls, alternatively seek another web menu provider that may work.
However check to see how google chrome handles javascript and security for the site.

Could you elaborate on "how google chrome handles javascript and security for the site"?  What am I looking for?

Yes - is it enabled or disabled in the browser. Is script functionality turned off etc. Don't ask me where the settings are in google chrome, I don't intend to use it until I'm forced under gunpoint to do so :). Also note there could be a bug in the browser.

Cheers :)
