I'm currently playing around with DotNetNuke 4.9.0.  I have a Win2K3 enterprise server (IIS6), with SQL 2005 Standard on a seperate server, and I'm using the Active Directory Provider module (1.00.04).  What I'm specificially looking to do is have users login using their AD credentials, and from there have the application impersonate the user when connecting to the SQL server.  So for example, if user DOMAIN\bob logs into the site, the site would use bob's credentials when connecting to the SQL server.  The reasoning behind this is that it will allow us to audit changes made to data on the SQL server (we have several tables setup with triggers that capture what was changed and who did it).

Is this possible in DNN?  My reading has lead me to believe that it cannot be done, but I'd like to get confirmation of that before I tell my manager we have to impersonate a specific user for all DB connections.

Thanks!
