Hi:

I'm a newbie to DNN, Geeting error while configuring AD provider .Can someone point me to a step by step on how to accomplish this task? As you can see from the picture below everystep fails and I don't know why.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

                                     Accessing Global catalog: Fail

                                    Checking Root Domain: Fail

                                    Accessing LDAP: Fail

                                   Find All Domains in Network: Could not access LDAP to obtain domains in

                                   Login Failure: unknown user name or bad password.

in Active Directory Settings Section:

Enabled: Checked

Syncronize Role: Checked

Provider: ADSIAuthentication Provider

Authentication Type: Delegation

Root Domain: LDAP://IPADDRESS also tried DC=comanyname,DC=co,DC=in

User Name: Administrator also tried companyname\myname

Password: ************

Email Domain: @mycompanyname.co.in

I am using IIS 5.1. Is ther any firewall setting is required. or need to give port number as well.

 Please anybody respond to this post.

You don't say which version of DNN you are on, as this has changed over time.  Here is a post I did about the latest, which has a link to the older version.
