Hello, just got DNN 5.0 up and running.

Was doing the usual creation/configuration when I noticed Anyone who visits my homepage has edit access from a sliimed down control bar!!!!  WTF

I have checked and dbl checked/removed ALL write permissions, Explicitly banned all write permissions, recusive made sure all modules/content on the main page dont have anything but Host/Admin write permissions.  All other pages I have created behave correctly!? Its just the home page.

I only have the admin and host accounts, Im viewing the page from a computer that never had any cache or cookies stored with elevated or incorrectly set privledges.

They can switch between edit and view mode only all other control panel settings are absent.

Google has been no help...?

Ive been over every setting I can find, and cant seem to turn this off. Any help appreciated Please

I assume, there is still a module, where write permission is still granted to a) all users or b) unregistered users - may be it resides in the recyle bin. Or do you have a module, where permisssions have been explicitly revoked to a) or b) on this page? (revoking option is a new feature in DNN5)

With much thanks for the reply, I had attempted your advice prior to posting, alas it did not work, although the issue cleared up on its own...????

Im not really sure whats going on, but permission changes dont seem to propogate correctly up and down dnn or across lgoin/logout cookie/cache credentials, then it eventually  will work as expected??? I did some real time testing with permission changes being accessed by an offsite user and noticed some lag in the changes taking effect with no real clue as to what triggers the change be it a login cycling or cookie/cache clearing etc.  It may have been an issue with a new security role or adding user specific privledges, I just could not pin down the culprit. doh!

I will consider this issue closed until I can find something a bit more reproduceable.

Thanks for the reply!
