I have a newsletter that links to password protected pages in my DNN site. When a user selects the link, it brings them to the login and then forwards them to the home page.

How do I create a link that will bring them to the login and then forward them to a page within the site?

I tried passing in the url. Example... Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fFundraising%2fCommunityPartners%2ftabid%2f2243%2fDefault.aspx. But it still forwards to home page after logging in.

Marc:

The behavior you describe in the first paragraph is the way to go.  If I may ask, why do you want to do it differently?  Security concerns?  Not have the secure link visible?  If that's it, I can understand it.  But I also have to tell you that ASP.Net (emphasis on ASP.Net, it is not DNN functionality per se) will not allow connections to pages that have been setup to require the user to be authenticated.  I don't think you have to worry.

There is one option but I don't think you would like to do this, and it is to go to the site setup and have the users go to the page you want after logon.  But that will work like that for all users who login whether their intention is to go to the newsletter or not, I guess it depends on what you want to do.

Or you can just tell the users to login and click on some button to get the newsletter.
