I bought this skin back in August '08 and have not been able to change the "family" picture in the upper right Horizontal menu.  I have figured out how to replace the DotNetNuke logo, but can not seem to find the file to replace for the flash image.

Can someone walk me through how to make this change.  It is probably pretty obvious that I am a novice.  This is my first DNN site.  It ois just a site for my family to share photos and video, chat, calendars, etc.  Please help!

Tom

You might try contacting the skin maker to see if they can provide any assistance with this.  Their website is http://www.alldnnskins.com

The image you're looking for is likely embedded in the flash "SWF" file.  There are a number of "SWF decompilers" available that let you peek in the SWF to see what images, MP3s, etc are there.  If you can't get help from AllDNNskins, I'd try a decompiler (some are free) and see if you can verify that the image is in the SWF.  One of the better decompilers I've used is here:  http://www.sothink.com/product/flashdecompiler/

If you find that the image IS in the SWF, your question will become "How can I swap one embedded image for another in a SWF?".  The answer to THAT one would be:  decompile the SWF into an FLA, use Flash or a Flash-compatable program to swap the image and then re-compile the FLA into a SWF.

This is probably also a good point to call your most Flash-knowledgeable buddy...

Thanks everyone!  I think mamlin is right.  I located the .swf file but can not get at the .jpg inside.  I will have to use the decompiler if I want to attack it myself.

Alldnnskins will do it for a fee if I send the files I want to use.  That might be the best route depending on the cost for the service.

Thanks for the help!

Mamlin-  Once I download the free version of sothink-decompiler, do I install it in my website or on my computer?

How do I access the .swf file that is in my file manager in my hosting account?
