Hi,

New to DNN and was wondering if the pane configuration can be changed. In the sandbox I seem to only have the choce of left/center/right/top/bottom panes.

But what if I only want a left pane and a center pane extending all the way to the right margin?

Thanks!

This is mostly controlled by what skin you have applied to your site.

In some skins, if you have the left and center panes populated but not the right, then the center will fill the remaining space.  This is not always true but like I said, most depends on the skin you have installed.

Some skins have more/less panes to choose from.

blair-

Check out the sample thumbnail images of skins at: http://alldnnskins.com

There are lots of skin sites/resources -- I mention that site only because it has over 800 skin thumbnail previews (so you can quickly see a sample of the wide range of designs and layouts possible with DNN).  For some free skins, check out http://www.xhtmlskins.com/ and http://www.dnnskins.com/Default.aspx?tabid=582&List=0 or search Google for "free dnn skin".

It's easy to grab a few free skins and try them on a locally-installed copy of DNN -- just make sure whatever skins you try are compatable with the version of DNN you're running.  I recommend trying a new skin on a single test page (not your DNN home page) rather than applying it to your entire DNN portal in case the skin causes any problems that keeps the page from rendering.

Have fun-
