Hopefully somebody can help me. I have a .CSS class in the App_Themes folder. But I can't seem to reference it from my DNN module. Everything I try doesn't appear to work. URL to CSS : App_Themes\BlueMan\BlueMan.css from location: DesktopModules\MyBlueMan\BlueManProfile.ascx Any Ideas? Thanks,

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure DNN doesn't use the App_Theme folder at all.

Try and copy the App_Themes\BlueMan\BlueMan.css to DesktopModules\MyBlueMan\module.css, the name module.css is important and thats what DNN looks for to load at runtime if your module is placed on the requested page...

This should get you going....

Thank you for the post Mr. Hine, I want to add a quick reply to what you said.

I would rather try to make one modification to one CSS instead of running two identical copies (App_Themes\BlueMan.css and Module.CSS). I was thinking maybe I could use the @import tag and call the App_Theme, but it still didn't appear to work.

Also in DesktopModules I don't have a folder for every feature. I.E. my structure looks like this:

DesktopModules\MyBlueMan.ascx
DesktopModules\MyBlueManImage.ascx
DesktopModules\MyBlueManProfile.ascx

So can i just add a "Module.css" and does that apply to all usercontrols listed there?

First, I'd get familiar with the CSS hierarchy in DotNetNuke, then I would delete the app_theme\BlueMan.css file. I'm pretty sure DotNetNuke won't use the styles, you should be able to use the import tag to load the file, but really I'd just move it into the DesktopModules\MyBlueMan\module.css.

You need to make sure your module has it's own folder, your last post you have usercontrols directly inside of DesktopModules which isn't recommended.

I'd install FireBug or something similar, and just start testing things on your development machine...
