Whenever I try and view 'Online' users via the User Accounts tool I get no users showing and the below exception.

'Disable Users Online' is unchecked and 'Request Method' is set to Request Method in Host Settings.

DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.PurgeUsersOnline is running successfully every minute in Scheduler.

Any ideas as to the problem?

it looks like an issue filling the user info, especially the "First Name" from Membership. Did you customize the login procedure? check your  users table for entries with missing first name.

All users have a FirstName defined.

If I edit the profile of an online user then it displays a tick to indicate that the user is online.

However the 'list' view of all online uers shows no one?

Hi

You have to make sure that your settings is enabled through the Host Settings menu. You can check your Host settings and the Host Scheduler.

That's not it, unfortunately. As the original poster displayed, he has everything set up correctly.

I have the same problem as he does - every possible configuration is correct, taken from the advice found on this forum and others. A quick Google search (or random visits to other DNN sites) will confirm that we are not the only people experiencing this problem with Users Online, yet everywhere we go people tell us to check the settings. We have. As soon as we confirm we have everyone on the thread shuts up, meaning the problem never gets solved or even attended to.

I have other installs of DNN on which the Users Online work perfectly - with exactly the same settings across all sites. They are all enabled, the scheduler is working properly, etc, etc - yet on some installations UO doesn't work and on some it does.

I have a problem with 4.9.1 - my 5.0 installation works perfectly.

I've almost given up - but not quite yet. I'm quite desperate for a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated by a lot of people, myself included.
